KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Kyle Lawrence Bryant, 85, of Route 1, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He had been a resident of Shenandoah Nursing Home,
Born June 6, 1911, in Galax, Va., he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Bryant.
He retired from Dixie Narco, where he was a security guard.
He was a member of Halltown Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Virginia Simons Bryant; five daughters, Cornelia Gentry of Martinsburg, W.Va., Jean Cross and Kay Pifer, both of Kearneysville, Judy Slusher of Wyerscave, Va., and Ruth Manning of Baker, Fla.; two sons, Norman Woodward of Kearneysville, and John Woodward of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. Robert Wilbourn will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Carla D. Hollinger
SHARPSBURG - Carla DeAna Hollinger, 34, of 6112 River Road, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at her home.
Born Feb. 19, 1962, in Benton, Ark., she was the daughter of Larry L. Crocker of Sharpsburg, and the late Diane Sue Shelnutt Crocker. She is the stepdaughter of Joyce Marie Crocker of Sharpsburg.
She was a graduate of Benton Senior High School in Benton.
She was a member of Sharpsburg Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her father and stepmother, she is survived by her husband, Bruce Cole Hollinger; two sons, Cole Crocker Hollinger and Jeremy Blake Hollinger, both at home; three sisters, Donna Marie Beckwith of Benton, Stacey Dionne Jones of Brunswick, and Dana Michelle Logsdon of Hanco*ck; one brother, Larry Lane Crocker II of North Little Rock, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Shelnutt of Benton; one aunt; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Crocker.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Sharpsburg Missionary Baptist Church, Lakin Avenue, Boonsboro. Tim Hadley, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery in Benton on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sharpsburg Fire Company, 110 W. Chapline St., Sharpsburg, Md. 21782.
Arrangements are being handled by Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
Edna I. Fisher
INWOOD, W.Va. - Edna Irene "Reanie" Fisher, 64, of Inwood, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born April 23, 1932, in Hanco*ck, she was the daughter of Pansy Walls Coonrod of Hanco*ck, and the late Herman E. Younker. She was the stepdaughter of the late George E. Coonrod.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Valley View Chapel Church in Berkeley County, W.Va.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald R. Fisher; one daughter, Donna I. Powers of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three sons, Terry R. Fisher of Front Royal, Va., David W. Fisher of Hedgesville, and Larry D. Fisher of Bloomery, W.Va.; four sisters, Ruth Willis of Hanco*ck, Betty Stotler of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Jean Morrow of Carmi, Ill., and Bonnie Weller of Warfordsburg, Pa.; six brothers, Herman Younker, Robert L. Younker, Ray Younker and Leonard Younker, all of Hanco*ck, Melvin Younker of Berkeley Springs, and Herbert L. Younker of Clear Spring; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Younker.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Valley View Chapel Church. The Rev. J. Clyde Brooks will officiate, assisted by Larry Kees, pastor, and Elmer Wheatley, pastor. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at Rosedale Funeral Home Chapel in Martinsburg, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Charlotte A. Bellomy
Charlotte A. Bellomy, 90, formerly of 610 Frederick St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at Williamsport Retirement Village of Twin Oaks.
Born June 29, 1906, in York County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Elizabeth Doarnberger Dick.
Her husband, George W. Bellomy, died in 1973.
She retired from the city of Hagerstown as a payroll clerk after 25 years of service.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.
She also was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 211 in Funkstown, Friendship Rebecca Lodge 8, AARP Chapter 623, where she served as tour director, and a member of Manor Church Senior Citizens.
She is survived by one niece, Catherine E. Daveler of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry J. Dick and Richard E. Dick.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward H. Heim, the Rev. Helen Miller and the Rev. Josephine Benton will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Robert J. Kerlin
Robert J. Kerlin, 87, of 25 1/2 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born in Fort Littleton, Pa., he was the son of the late Irvin H. and Laura C. Lynn Kerlin.
He retired in 1972 from W.D. Byron Tannery in Williamsport.
He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Wilson Kerlin; two daughters, Betty Seilhamer of Mercersburg, Pa., and Ann Wilson of Hagerstown; four stepchildren, Margaret Lynch of Hanco*ck, Francis Clark of Baltimore, and Lee Clark and Herbert Clark, both of Hagerstown; 18 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Atherton; and one brother, Charles Kerlin.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. J. Norman Mayer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Harold C. Harris
Harold C. Harris, 88, of Luther Drive, Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 1, 1908, in Lexington, Neb., he was the son of the late James A. and Eunice York Harris.
He was employed with Mack Trucks in Hagerstown for 30 years, retiring in 1970.
He received degrees from Kearney Teachers College in Kearney, Neb., and Colorado School of Mines, where he was the Metallurgy Outstanding Engineering Student for the class of 1932. He was a metallurgical engineer.
He was a member of Tau Beta Pi, Theta Tau Scabbard and Blade, Beta Theta Pi, Colorado School of Mines, Beta Alumni, Kearney Nebraska Alumni, and was a registered engineer of Maryland.
He was also a member of Wolfsville Ruritan Club, where he founded the Wolfsville Ruritan Scholarship Fund, and a member of Hagerstown Elks Lodge 378.
He is survived by his wife, R. Virginia Harris; one daughter, Cynthia K. Miller of McLean, Va.; one son, Glenn C. Harris of Chevy Chase, Md.; one sister, Orba Brink of Blair, Neb.; one brother, Norman E. Harris of Kearney; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at Grossnickle Church of the Brethren in Myersville, Md. The Rev. Ronald A. Beverlin will officiate.

John R. Johnson
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - John R. Johnson, 44, of 160 Riddle Road, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 19, 1952, in Hopkinsville, Ky., he is the son of John W. Johnson of Fort Collins, Colo., and Shirley J. Houser Deshong of Chambersburg.
He was employed in maintenance at Sprint United Telephone Co. in Chambersburg, retiring due to health.
He attended South Mountain Bible Church in South Mountain, Pa.
He enjoyed automobile mechanics.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Linda M. Chronister Johnson, whom he married July 5, 1974; one daughter, Tanya L. Johnson, at home; one son, Shawn D. Johnson, at home; one brother, David W. Johnson Sr. of Chambersburg; stepfather, Robert L. Deshong; one grandson; and one nephew.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Dorothy V.B. Stevens
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Dorothy Virginia Bowers Stevens, 69, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 29, 1927, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Esther McDonald Bowers.
Her husband, William Pershing Stevens Sr., preceded her in death.
She retired from Grenada Industries.
She was a member of Mountain View Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by five daughters, Connie Barrick and Lynda Burtt, both of Hedgesville, W.Va., Debbie Smallwood and Jean Frame, both of Martinsburg, and Penny Martin of Inwood, W.Va.; three sons, William P. Stevens Jr. of Philadelphia, and Kenny Stevens and James Stevens, both of Martinsburg; one sister, Betty Manor of Hedgesville; one brother, Victor C. Bowers of Delaware; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Brannon, Olyn Collis and Pauline Batt; and one brother, Edgel Bowers.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Paul C. Stanley will officiate, assisted by Jim Payton. Burial will be in Mountain View Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
